One of the major plus points of this hotel was the price for a double b&b room. We stayed for one night awhilst attending a concert at Milton Keynes bowl and the rate was very very good compared to hotels closer to the venue. The drive to and from the venue was about 15 mins each way, which was fab! I would say the best thing about this hotel was the bed - very large and very very comfortable!
The hotel was a little dated. The public areas weren't too bad - but the rooms could do wish a makeover. I would rate the cleanliness of the room as a 6/10 and the bathroom facilities were quite basic and old. Also, the room had a very over powering smell of air freshner, as did the toilets in the public areas... I think they may have been trying to mask a smell - however after staying for one night, I woke with a stuffy nose which wasn't great!
Very good pub food at reasonable prices.Room fairly basic but more than adequate for short stay and value for money.Good location for trip to Milton Keynes Bowl for a concert.Would definitely recommend.
We stayed over with our 10 week old daughter and the staff made us feel very welcome. All the staff gave excellent customer service and the hotel itself was perfect for us. We will definatley be recommending to our friends and we will also being staying over again ourselves. We live local in mk and found the perfect location for us to have the occasional relaxing break.
All the staff were very friendly. The room itself was comfortable, a lovely bed which we really didn't want to get up from in the morning.
If you're planning on staying here for an early morning tour of Silverstone, I really wouldn't recommend it. We were told breakfast is at 8 but at 8.20 the staff were still putting juice, cereals and fruit out on the side board. We had to leave the cooked breakfasts we ordered as these weren't ready in time for us to leave to get to Silverstone in time for our tour.
staff where friendlyl and the food was great
The staff, food very good, good location for a stop off point, very easy to access.
The bathroom was not quite as good as it could have been (there was a 'ufo' on a tile in the bathroom from a previous guest, which was fairly plain to see).
Comfortable room in a pleasant location. Friendly staff.
Not enough staff, so long wait for checking in, and our evening meal. Our room was situated above the kitchen's extractor fan so quite noisy when kitchen was open.
Breakfast was excellant the man who served us breakfast was very good at his job
No double glazing in the room, window did not shut fully
The staff were excellent, and quality of the meals
good value for money and a very good full English breakfast.
no person on reception at arrival. once i found someone it was fine.
Good facilities for the economoical price of our stay. Excellent restaurant and staff very friendly and competent.
despite the fact that Booked.net failed to make my reservation at this hotel, when we arrived the staff were excellent and spared no effort to find us rooms, they kept the restaurant open a bit longer so we could order and generally throughout our whole stay delivered that friendly and welcoming service that one hears about but which rarely happens to you! In addition the price was low and the food, the rooms (and the beer) were excellent..
Very handy to Silverstone. Great meals and breakfast was fantastic. Friendly staff
Our room was on the street so quite noisy on a Monday morning with commuters.
Comfort of room and range/prices of meals
Main road very noisey. Very squeeky floor boards which can be disturbing at night.
staff were very friendly and helpful - very accomdating to meet our requests. the hotel is perfect for a cheap nights stay.
The toilet lid was filthy! it spolit the room as everything else in there was good.
